We are pleased to announce the MassCUE and M.A.S.S. 2013 Annual Technology Conference, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). Both organizations recognize the benefits of a collaborative partnership that focuses on the collective interests of our school districts.  We will be providing educators from across the Commonwealth with exciting ways to enhance teaching and learning with technology.

Our BYOD Journey-Lessons Learned

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

For the last two years, the Reading Public Schools has embarked in the implementation of a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative at the middle and high school level. This presentation will discuss how the initiative has worked, the lessons learned from that process, and how important it is to build a culture that allows risk taking to benefit students. This presentation will review the importance of culture, leadership, infrastructure, support, and professional development on the implementation process. In addition, the presentation will talk about a unique professional development opportunity, a graduate level course called Expanding the Boundaries of Teaching and Learning, that has created the mindset and culture in our district for this type of initiative.
